Error description
In some instances, opening the Log Viewer for a VM deployed in IBM PureApplication System may cause the CPU usage to rise to 100% usage for 10 minutes or more.
Local fix
Zeroing out the large, sparse file /var/log/lastlog may keep the CPU from remaining high for a longer period.
Problem summary
A programming error in the user interface code initiated an archive command of all files viewable when the log browser was started.
Problem conclusion
The code has been updated to correct the log viewer problem.
