APAR status

Error description

  • When a virtual machine is stopped by a user it can be restarted.
    When it fails to start after a disaster recovery test it goes
    into stopped state but can not be restarted. If a user starts
    it, it goes into launching state and fails to start.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • There was code tracking the method a virtual machine had been
    stopped preventing the user from starting it under other
    circumstances.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been improved to allow the user to attempt
    to start the virtual machine.
