  • During a system test a virtual system image import operation
failed with the following error:

CWZIP8706E The following VMWare task running in the virtual
management environment did not complete successfully: ERROR:
com.ibm.venture.vmware.sdk.vim25.NoDiskSpace copy file.
Insufficient disk space on datastore ''..

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • The problem encountered here was actually a discrepancy between
a disk image size in the image being imported and the disk image
size that was stored in the image OVF file.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Validation code has been added to the image import operation
that verifies that the disk image size in the OVF file and the
disk images themselves match.
