APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Customer reported that they deployed a virtual system pattern,
vsp_name_1, using the same name for the deployed instance. They
stopped and deleted it while it was still deploying.

Since then they experience strange behavior on the system.
They cannot successfully delete the vsp_name_1 instance.
They then tried to deploy the same pattern again with the same
instance name. That deployment failed after a few minutes.

  • The virtual system creation and deletion tasks needed to be
executed inside a transaction to ensure completion.

  • The code has been updated to call the tasks inside a
transaction.
