APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When collecting logs for OPM, it shows a LOT of
Repository/Server/logs which are collected recursively, for
some strange reason. This finally makes the file name so long,
Windows will not even delete that file anymore.
The Repository/logs keep getting nested, Windows simply stops
when the PATH exceeds 256 characters.

Local fix

  • n/a

Problem summary

  • The Database Performance Monitor virtual machine includes a
soft link from the product logs directory which creates a loop
    in the directory tree.

Problem conclusion

  • The log gathering code is modified to avoid directory recursion.
