APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • During system test a system was under an increased stress test
when a virtual application automatic scale-out operation failed
due to memory constraints.

There was not an easy way to find out the reason for the failure
based on the messages provided by the system.

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • Need to allow the message from the placement code to be returned
properly from the asynchronous job.

In this particular case the error message in the async job will
be:
CWZIP2016E The deploy operation failed: CWZIP7103E Insufficient
CPU resources to place the virtual machine

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The messages are now saved in parameters saved in the workload
state object.
