IT00029: PHANTOM LPARS SHOULD NOT BE CREATED WHEN THE QUERY COMPUTE NODE JOB RUNS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• During system test a blade needed to be put in maintenance mode
  to migrate compute nodes. The virtual management system had
  references to two LPARs associated to the blade which prevented
  the action. The references were for LPARs which did not exist.
  
  Error in log is:
  obexecutortask | java.lang.RuntimeException:
  com.ibm.purescale.utils.IpasException: CWZIP6006W Could not
  evacuate the remaining virtual machines on compute node
  [SN#XXXX].
  The state is automatically changed back to quiesced.

Local fix

Problem summary

• The query compute node code should verify the information
  returned from the virtual management system and make corrections
  when discrepancies are found.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code has been updated to detect this situation which
  needed to be corrected and not block valid operations against
  the blade.
