APAR status

Error description

  • PureApplication System
System->Cloud->IP Groups
Select IP group of interest.
Add by Host name
After added by hostname the IP is not showing up in the list of
available IP addresses.

Local fix

  • As the workaround the recommendation is to only add IP Addresses
using the IPv4 dotted notation.

Problem summary

  • When a hostanme was being used to add a new IP address to the
system it was reverse DNS resolved but then not added to the
list of IP adresses that were available on the system.

Problem conclusion

  • A code fix is being provided in PureApplication System
version 2.0.0.1 to include IP addresses that were added using
their DNS reverse lookup hostname.
