APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • During recovery of a disaster recovery backup rack, if a
PureSystems Manager high availability failover occurs, the
disaster recovery stops, but the disaster recovery still
appears to be running in the System console.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • This is caused when the disaster recovery job is actively
running when the management node powers off, leaving its
internal status table in an incomplete state. Then the backup
pureSystems manager takes control, the System console believes
the recovery job is still in progress and will not allow you to
    re-try the failover.

Problem conclusion

  • Added code to clean up after jobs that did not complete on the
failed PureSystems Manager so they can restart on the remaining
    manager.

Temporary fix
