APAR status

Error description

  • During system stress testing the virtualization system manager
    (VSM) and the System Console became very slow and unresponsive.
    Investigation of the test further revealed that the test
    included a large cloud group with scaling enabled and many
    virtual systems.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • The System Monitoring shared service code required updates to
    better handle caching and thread management.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been updated to improve performance and thread
    management.
