Error description

  • During automated system test there were occasional failures
cloning virtual images. The errors in the log contained:

app.scripts.groovy.rainmaker.instances.ExtendedImageCreatedHandl
er.groovy run java.lang.Exception: CWZIP1947E Unable to start
the update action.
...
CannotAccessFile copy file. Unable to access file [cache_xxxx]

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • The image clone operation was failing because a file copy
operation was being performed instead of a disk copy operation.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The code has been updated to use the disk copy method for the
clone operation.
