APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • A cloud group was created with 2 compute nodes. Deploy the same
4 virtual machines on both compute nodes and then drive the CPU
utilization very high on one of the compute nodes while
maintaining the other compute node virtual machines in an idle
state.

The expected behavior is that some "busy" virtual machines
should be migrated to the idle compute node after an appropriate
interval of time, but this did not occur.

Problem summary


    

  • The load computed across the compute nodes in the cloud group
was being incorrectly calculated which prevented load balancing
from occurring.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The code has been updated to fix the issue with load balancing.
