This page describes the minimum product levels that need to be installed before opening a problem report with the TPF Support team. Because other products frequently ship fixes, updates, and new releases, testing every configuration is not possible. In general, you can install and run with updates to supported products if those updates are forward compatible

The following are the minimum recommended service levels of software requirements for the TPF Operations Server product. Also see the frequently asked questions (FAQs) available from the TPF Web site at http://www.ibm.com/tpf for information about running REXX automation variation environment (REXX) on Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and using RAVEN with Object Rexx 4.0.

Operating system		Microsoft® Windows® Server 2003 with Service Pack (SP) 2 Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Microsoft Windows 7 Microsoft Windows XP Professional with SP3
Application environment		Java™ Development Kit Version 5, which is required for compiling Java API programs. IBM DB2 Universal Database™ Version 9 Workgroup Server Edition, which is required for message logging to DB2® A REXX interpreter is required for REXX automation and REXX Automation Variation Environment (RAVEN) automation: Object REXX Release 3.2.0. Go to http://www.oorexx.org for more information. IBM Tivoli® Enterprise Console (TEC) Version 3.9 or later, which is recommended to use the TEC interface sample program and for use with the TOS2TEC program of the REXECD client when communicating with NetView for IBM z/OS® Version 1 Release 7 or later. IBM Personal Communication Version 5.9, which is available as part of the IBM Host Access Client Package. IBM Personal Communication Version 5.9 is required for the TPF Operations Server to communicate with IBM 3270 consoles. Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Version 8, which is recommended for compiling applications that use C++ APIs. To use HMC interface support with the TPF Operations Server, you must install APAR PJ28622 on your TPF system.
