Installation aids
IBM now provides the IBM Installation Toolkit for PowerLinux. This toolkit provides a set of tools that eases the installation of Linux on IBM Power Systems. This toolkit is available as an ISO image, which you can use to burn your own CD for the Toolkit.

Version 1.3.1 of the IBM Software Development Kit for PowerLinux (SDK for PowerLinux) is now available.

The IBM SDK for PowerLinux servers is a free, Eclipse-based integrated development environment.
The SDK integrates C/C++ source development with, and provides easy setup and use of
- Advance Toolchain for POWER7 development with source view and edit,
- Post Link Optimization (FDPR: Feeback Directed Program Restructuring) for either direct optimization and/or code advice with source view and edit,
- Classic Linux performance analysis tools, including OProfile and Valgrind tools, with source view.
The SDK integrates all these tools into a single Eclipse-based GUI environment.
