Rational and WebSphere for i rebate promotion

IBM Rational Software Development products for IBM i offer tools to help you accelerate software innovation and delivery by allowing extension and reuse of existing applications to create Web applications and Web services without costly rewrites.

This rebate offer includes both Rational Developer and WebSphere Development Studio:

• Rational Developer for i provides a complete development environment for traditional IBM i (i5/OS) application development
• WebSphere Development Studio for System i V6R1 offers significant enhancements to the IBM i5/OS host Integrated Language Environment (ILE) compilers

The offer
For a limited time only, you can receive a rebate if you acquire a solution that includes:

• a minimum of three (3) WebSphere Development Studio for System i per user ILE Compiler licenses, and
• a minimum of three (3) Rational Developer for i User Licenses and/or Rational Developer for i for SOA Construction User Licenses, in any combination.

The amount of the rebate is dependent upon the specific licenses, and number of licenses, you acquire during the promotional period.

In addition, if you also acquire optional eligible WebSphere Development Studio for System i per user Heritage Compiler licenses and/or Rational Team Concert Express Edition for i Install User Licenses, you can receive a rebate.

Promotion dates
For purchase transactions, IBM invoices for the eligible products must have a date of on or after October 8, 2009, but no later than November 30, 2009.

For lease transactions, the signed and accepted Leasing Certificates of Acceptance, or lease contracts with "Deemed Acceptance" for the eligible products must have a commencement date of on or after October 8, 2009, but no later than November 30, 2009.

Rebate request forms must be received by IBM no later than January 30, 2010.

Where is it available?

This promotion is available only in:

This promotion is not available in the IBM - Caribbean North District.

There is a limit of one rebate per customer location (single building with a single mailing address). All IBM invoices and/or leasing documents pertaining to eligible products acquired during the promotional period must be sent to IBM as part of a single rebate request package.

To receive a rebate, a single completed and signed rebate request form, along with all specified documentation, must be received by the IBM Redemption Center no later than January 30, 2010. See the announcement letter for more information.

The following are acceptable proofs of acquisition:

• legible copies of the IBM invoices for the eligible licenses, or
• legible copies of the signed and accepted Leasing Certificates of Acceptance or lease contracts with "Deemed Acceptance" for the eligible licenses, itemized to include program number(s) and feature number(s), part number(s) if applicable, and quantities.

In Canada, you are responsible for all applicable taxes such as Goods and Services Tax (GST), Provincial Sales Tax (PST), Quebec Sales Tax (QST), and other sales or value-added taxes which are extra.

IBM reserves the right to modify or withdraw this promotion at any time.

This promotion is subject to the terms and conditions of any applicable Agreements.

Can this offer be combined?
This promotion cannot be combined with special bids on the eligible products.
