IBM Implementation Services for System p — Advanced POWER Virtualization starter pack is designed for organizations that want to take advantage of the virtualization capabilities available on most IBM System p servers so they can reduce network complexity, improve utilization and performance and decrease costs along a faster implementation timeline and with a reduced risk of disruption.

Start date

For purchase transactions, IBM invoices for the eligible new System p5 server must have a date of on or after September 18, 2007.

For lease transactions, signed and accepted Leasing Certificates of Acceptance, or lease contracts with "Deemed Acceptance" for the eligible new IBM System p5 server must have a lease commencement date of on or after September 18, 2007.

No-charge implementation services request forms must be received by IBM no later than two months after the IBM invoice or lease commencement date of the eligible new System p5 server.

The APV implementation services must be completed no later than six months after the IBM invoice or lease commencement date of the eligible new System p5 server.

To receive the no-charge APV services, the completed and signed No-charge implementation services request form (120KB), along with the specified documentation, must be received by the IBM Redemption Center no later than two months after the IBM invoice or lease commencement date of the eligible new IBM System p5 server.

The following are acceptable proofs of acquisition:

  • legible copies of the IBM invoices for the eligible server, or
  • legible copies of the signed and accepted Leasing Certificates of Acceptance or lease contracts with "Deemed Acceptance" for the eligible server itemized to include machine type, model, and serial number.

As part of the No-charge implementation services request form, you will be asked to review and accept the terms of the IBM Agreement for Implementation Services for System p Advanced POWER virtualization - starter pack (Z125-7712). Your signature on this request form indicates your acceptance of these terms. You can review this agreement at the following Web site: http://www-132.ibm.com/content/home/pdf/APV_SOW.pdf (30KB).
