Order status: When will my order arrive?

How your IBM.com order gets processed:

1. You receive IBM.com confirmation number when your order is submitted.
2. Upon receipt of your order, our order fulfillment team verifies product availability and processes credit card authorization.*
3. You receive e-mail confirmation of your credit card authorization - within 1 business day of placing your order.
4. You receive final e-mail confirmation with order tracking information - within 1 business day after credit card authorization.

Shipment delivery timelines:

Free ground shipping: Your equipment will arrive within 5 business days of properly completing your order.
Next business day delivery: Your equipment will arrive within 1 business day of properly completing your order.
2nd business day delivery: Your equipment will arrive within 2 business day of properly completing your order.

Your order is considered properly completed when IBM has approved your method of payment, including any necessary credit authorizations.

* For our customers' protection, part of IBM's credit card fraud prevention practice is to contact customers whose Ship-To address is different from their Billing address in their order. This process of verifying order information may cause delay of shipment.

I haven't received order confirmation or UPS tracking #. What should I do?
If you don't receive e-mail confirmation about your credit card authorization or UPS tracking info., and you have not been contacted by a sales representative to verify your order within 2 business days of placing it, please contact our customer service team via e-mail at: pcused@us.ibm.com and include your IBM.com CN confirmation number.
You can also reach them at 1-866-861-5448, option 4.

How do I cancel my order?
To cancel an order, please call 1-888-SHOP-IBM, option 2. An IBM.com sales representative will be happy to assist you in canceling your order or recommending alternative products that will better suit your needs.

Warranty information

When you buy IBM Certified Pre-owned PCs from IBM.com, be assured that your satisfaction is our guarantee!

7-day Money Back Guarantee
If for any reason you are not satisfied with an IBM Certified Pre-owned PC you acquire, you may return it to IBM within seven (7) days after you receive delivery to obtain a full refund.

This option does not apply to non-IBM programs when sold as a separate product when the license seal and/or shrink-wrap has been broken.

3-month Quality Satisfaction Guarantee
IBM guarantees your complete satisfaction with the quality and reliability of our Certified Pre-owned PCs for three (3) months from the date of delivery.

If you call after seven (7) days but within three (3) months of receiving delivery, an equivalent Machine selected by IBM Credit will be shipped in exchange for the original Machine. Such replacement will be shipped after you have returned the original Machine to us.

This option does not apply to non-IBM programs when sold as a separate product when the license seal and/or shrink-wrap has been broken.

Extended Warranty Option (EWO)
You may extend warranty coverage for any IBM Certified Pre-owned notebook, desktop or monitor by purchasing an Extended Warranty Option (EWO). It is a one (1) year limited warranty extension which takes effect upon the expiration date of the original 3-month Quality Satisfaction Guarantee. The same replacement terms and conditions apply to the EWO as stated in the Quality Satisfaction Guarantee section above.


Eligibility
1 Year Extended Warranty Option (EWO) applies to IBM Certified Pre-owned PC products currently under three (3) month quality satisfaction guarantee (not expired).

How do I purchase EWO?
To purchase EWO with an IBM Certified Pre-owned PC product, add PC to the shopping cart, then select EWO from the "May We Suggest" window and add to cart.

Can I purchase EWO for a certified pre-owned PC I previously purchased from IBM?
Yes. To purchase EWO for existing IBM Certified Pre-owned PCs you own, which are still under original 3-month Quality Satisfaction Guarantee, order from any of the links below and notate the serial # of the PC in "company field" in checkout. Eligibility will be verified and a sales representative may contact you.

EWO for multiple PC purchase
If you purchase multiple PCs and you want EWO on every PC in the shopping cart, please select the appropriate number of EWOs from "May We Suggest" window on shopping cart page. For orders received where EWO does not equal number of PCs, a sales representative will contact you to verify the order.

Warranty for Equipment labeled "New"
Occasionally, we offer new condition PC products which are covered by manufacturer warranty, for example 1 year warranty by Lenovo. These products will be clearly labeled "New" and the manufacturer warranty timeframe stated on the IBM.com website. IBM's 7-day Money Back Guarantee does apply to any "New" PC product we sell, however, our 3-Month Quality Satisfaction Guarantee does not apply.

If you purchase a "New" condition PC from us, the manufacturer warranty information including customer service numbers, is included in your PC shipment. Please save that documentation and contact the manufacturer to exercise warranty.

If for any reason you are not satisfied with an IBM Certified Pre-owned PC you acquire, you may return it to IBM within seven (7) days after you receive delivery to obtain a full refund.

For 7-day Money Back returns, the credit card refund will be completed with your bank within 10 business days after the machine has returned and the serial number has been verified by our warehouse.

If you call after seven (7) days but within three (3) months of receiving delivery, or twelve (12) months if you purchased an Extended Warranty Option, an equivalent Machine selected by IBM will be shipped in exchange for the original Machine. Such replacement will be shipped after you have returned the original Machine to us.

These options do not apply to non-IBM programs when sold as a separate product when the license seal and/or shrink-wrap has been broken.

Replacement Machines are shipped via UPS Ground and should be received 5-7 days after your defective machine has been received and verified by our warehouse

How do I return the equipment?
Contact our Technical Support Hotline to set up a refund or return order. You'll be sent a pre-paid return shipping label. All returns must include the original Machine, power cords, keyboards, mouse, and any other associated documentation that was originally shipped with it.

Can I get a replacement shipped before I return the original machine?
The replacement can be shipped before the return, only if you agree to pay for the replacement unit and have a refund issued once your defective return has been received and verified.

Can I get my replacement machine shipment expedited?
Yes. For laptops, the charge is $40 for Next Day delivery and $35 for 2nd Day delivery. For Desktops or Monitors, the charge is $67 for Next Day delivery and $60 for 2nd Day delivery.
