IBM i – Built for business
Earlier this year IBM announced it would cease to support IBM i V5R4, effective September 30, 2013. By this end of service date, V5R4 will have been supported longer than any prior release and although the move to another release can take some work, the actual process of upgrading is relatively simple. And now we’re making it even more cost effective by offering rebates when you upgrade to a new POWER7+ server with IBM i version 6 or 7.
The offer
If you have a qualifying IBM System i or Power server running any release of IBM i Version 5 installed in your Enterprise* as of April 10 2012, you can receive a rebate if you acquire an eligible new IBM POWER7+ server configured for IBM i Version 6 or 7.
The amount of the rebate is dependent upon the eligible new POWER7+ server configuration acquired. For a list of qualifying and eligible products, and additional terms and conditions, refer to the announcement letter or contact a product specialist at 1-866-883-8901 for more information.
