This paper validates that IBM Scale Out Network Attached Storage (SONAS) system offers good database performance in NAS environments, and easily supports commercial production workloads with Oracle Databases and Applications. The test measured the performance of an Oracle 10g database, as loaded on SONAS. The SONAS provided the NFS services to a front-end IBM AIX client, running AIX 6.1.
