Software Value Plus compliance
IBM Business Partners are required to meet or exceed a minimum value add revenue percentage (10% from SVI and/or Value Advantage Plus) of their total eligible revenue for their approved Software Value Plus (SVP) Product Groups. Compliance reviews are carried out twice each year.
Support Providers are required to maintain an up-to-date support plan and respective Support Provider certification qualifications. Compliance will be carried out twice each year along with the IBM Business Partner compliance reviews.
Software Value Plus Compliance reviews for 10% value add revenue are now required only once each year. Also, PartnerPlans continue to be required to be in place to be approved for Product Groups, but are no longer checked during the Compliance reviews. Software Value Incentive (SVI) revalidations for certifications continue to be carried out twice each year.
The next Software Value Plus Compliance review period covers eligible revenue and value add revenue from 01 January 2011 through 31 December 2011 and the review will be conducted in March 2012.
10% value add revenue is calculated on total eligible revenue across all approved Product Groups.
- If an IBM Business Partner fails the 10% check across all approved Product Groups, each approved Product Group will then be checked individually.
Only eligible revenue will be calculated, which excludes:
- Government revenue and Value Advantage Plus for Government
- Revenue below the SVI threshold amount
- Renewals revenue
IBM Business Partners with less than $200k USD in total eligible annual revenue across all Product Groups will be waived from compliance checking.
- Access the SVP Compliance FAQ (17KB)
- For more details on SVP compliance, please see the SVP operations guide.
For Support Providers only: Support Providers are required to submit a new support plan on an annual basis every March and a certification check every October will be validated by the IBM Channel Support Management working in partnership with IBM GEO Operations.
- If a Support Provider does not provide a revised Support Plan for revalidation, the IBM Business Partner’s revalidation will be denied and will be subject to Support Provider re-marketer type deactivation.
Note: If a support plan is denied, the IBM Business Partner will have 90 days to take the appropriate actions to remedy the issue and resubmit for further approval.
