Abstract
This white paper provides a detailed discussion on how to efficiently use IBM DB2 development add-ins for Microsoft Visual Studio .NET to expose the DB2 for i5/OS data as Web services. You learn how to build and test Web services with very little programming effort and how to integrate existing i5/OS application code into a modern solution. You also learn how to manipulate DB2 for i5/OS objects visually, such as tables and stored procedures, directly in the Microsoft Visual Studio integrated development environment (IDE).
