Overview
General information houses detailed information about an individual employee. Important information stored here includes:
- Employee profile summary:
- Employee ID
- Salutation
- First name
- Last name
- Suffix
- Email address
- Job title
- Job function
- IBM ID information
- Employee telephone information, including mobile phone numbers (not required)
- Address
- Person self-association (if you are a Primary Relationship Contact or Authorized Profile Administrator, you will be able to view and update this section). You will also be able to inactivate an employee here
- Employee administrative information
- Privacy information
Navigation
To edit general information:
- Select the "General information" link.
- Enter the required or updated information as prompted on the new screen.
- "Save".
- You will be taken to a confirmation page and given a confirmation number.
- Please retain the confirmation number for all future inquiries on the transaction.
To inactivate an employee:
- Complete the "Employment end date" field under the Person self-association section on this page.
- "Save".
- Please retain the confirmation number for all future inquiries on the transaction.
To verify your profile:
Check the "Profile has been verified" field to remove the blue background that displays on the PartnerWorld Profile page.
Checklist
Mandatory fields in completing general information include:
- First name
- Last name
- Language of entry
- Email address
- Job function (you can have more than one job function)
- IBM ID
- Telephone area code
- Telephone number
- Line one of the customer address
- City
- State/province
- Zip/Postal code
- Status
- Status reason
- Notify of country enterprise profile changes
Note: Mobile phone numbers can be added to a profile, but are not mandatory. However, the mobile phone texting feature is an “efficiency must” for many employees around the globe.
