Benefits
Provide your clients with an affordable option to take advantage of the new Power Systems platforms. The IBM Power Systems Exchange offering minimizes the financial impact of migrating to POWER technology by providing credit for their current system. The actual credit will be determined based on the market value established by IBM Global Financing and, if applicable, the type of IBM Global Financing Lease for the currently leased servers. In some cases, the current server may be purchased from the client.
In addition to affordability, the Power Systems server provided by the IBM Power Systems Exchange offering (including a combination of used and new components) comes with the same warranty as an equivalently configured new Power Systems server. The IBM Power Systems Exchange provides you up to 60 days from the time the new system is installed to perform side-by-side installation and testing before the current system needs to be returned to IBM Global Financing. With the new IBM Power Systems Exchange, you can now provide a solution that meets your clients requirements while limiting your competitive exposure and need for deep discounts.
How this helps clients
- Non-disruptive migration to new technology
- Reduced termination charges if leased
