The mission of the System i Initiative for Innovation is to create an open, collaborative System i community to fuel innovation in solutions, partner applications and On Demand capabilities for our mutual customers. The System i Initiative for Innovation is enabling the growth of new, innovative solutions for System i customers—unleashing the combined talents of IBM, IBM ISVs and tools partners to help enable business growth for our mutual customers.
One of the most important parts of our System i Initiative for Innovation is our focus on Tools Innovation. Tools Innovation helps us drive better solutions by helping our customers modernize and extend their existing applications with the help of IBM and Business Partner tools. The Tools Innovation program provides an open approach to the application ecosystem by providing customers with access to a broad choice of high quality tools from IBM and our top tool providers. As a proof point, the System i Developer Road Atlas now includes innovative tools from both IBM as well as Business Partner tool providers.
