With the increased popularity of online grocery shopping retailers need a solution to increase efficiency and accuracy. By connecting a simple, task-oriented user flow to a smart commerce inventory, PointSource was able to create a mobile solution illustrating how we can optimize and create efficiencies in major grocery store chains that offer order- ahead grocery pickup services. This cross-device application allows comprehensive end-to-end order fulfillment and monitoring, based on the pickup time that the customer has designated when placing their order.

The store employees can now leave behind the paper printouts of the orders, and organize their trips around the store to pull items from the shelves based on the time to pickup, and the aisles of inventory being tracked in their commerce systems. The solution also monitors order fulfillment, optimizes inventory, engages suppliers and proactively recognizes disruptions.
