Fasoo E-DRM can be enforced any time when the target document contains a certain pattern. A pattern can be defined in regular expression. At the same time, a document can be classified into pre-defined categories, based on its context. For example, a document contains social security numbers, addresses and phone numbers then it can be classified as a document with Personally Identifiable Information or PII. If a document contains the code name of a special project, then it can be classified as top secret. Then, a pre-defined policy can be applied automatically without user intervention. It can reduce the burden of packaging (encrypting) documents that may not have sensitive information. It also minimizes the risk of documents left unpackaged by the negligence of users.

  • + Functional details

Classifying documents and enforcing appropriate policy transparently. - Classify documents by patterns of regular expressions (i.e. keywords like “confidential”, regular expression of SSN and telephone numbers, etc.). - Provide templates for commonly used patterns. - Apply relevant security policy to document based on how frequently the patterns occur. Real-time context scan and action (documents in transit) - Detect context patterns and apply appropriate policy to documents - Alarm users when (i) changing policy, (ii) encrypting documents, (iii) masking content, (iv) stopping email delivery or (v) inserting a watermark.

  • + Competitive advantage

    - CAP runs only if the target document contains a certain context pattern - Reduce the burden of packaging documents that may not have sensitive information - Minimizes the risk of documents left un-encrypted by the negligence of users - Tight integration can offer more room for flexible and robust policy, while applying E-DRM policy through the entire document life cycle - Batch or manual context scan and encryption
