Sproxil’s Mobile Product Authentication™ (MPA™) solution was developed to empower consumers in emerging markets to avoid purchasing counterfeit products simply by using their mobile phones.

Every product protected with MPA bears a special security label with a scratch-off panel that, when removed, reveals a unique, product specific code. Before purchasing a Sproxil-protected product, consumers scratch off the panel and text (SMS) the code for free to Sproxil. Almost instantly, they receive a message verifying if the product is genuine or suspicious. Other verification channels include local call centers, mobile apps, and a web app. 

MPA can be supplemented by value added services such as:

- Cascading Authentication™, a track and trace solution

- Third Party Investigator™ (TPI™) and Stolen Product Investigator™ (SPI™): proactive outreach for obtaining leads for investigatory efforts

-Loyalty programs, including points-based rewards, single purchase rewards, and raffles

- Mobile-based impact surveys

As a part of MPA, Sproxil collects anonymized consumer data to provide businesses with important market insight in a way that previously wasn't possible in cash-based markets.
