Discover how to enhance the experience of IBM TAM E-SSO with stronger Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) using the Ezio Server.

With the IBM TAM E-SSO, users are able to login using 1-factor authentication using user ID and password, or Two-Factor Authentication using Vasco tokens, Biometric cards and etc. By adding on the Ezio Server, the users will now be able to make use of a wider range of tokens available on the market, thus allowing the users to have the flexibility for deployment based on their requirements.

Enhancing your IBM TAM E-SSO deployment to integrate with the Ezio Server by either installing a Gemalto customised GINA or by configuring a step up authentication via the Access Profile.

The Ezio Server is the complete Two Factor Authentication solution to provide multi-token strong authentication with end-to-end security for passwords & highly sensitive information to secure electronic transactions. The flexible token management system allows users a choice of different Two Factor Authentication including One-Time Password (OTP) sent over SMS, Java midlet software OTP tokens, OATH tokens, and hardware VASCO, RSA OTP tokens.

    Ezio Server integration with TAM E-SSO allows the user to have,

    • strong 2 FA authentication when logging into the client PC. (in customised Gina integration)
    • strong 2 FA authentication when accessing to sensitive business applications. (in step up authentication via Access Profile)
    With this, the user will have a seamless experience when using the SSO and at the same time, they are able to leverage on Gemalto's technologies to have strong 2 factor authentication, for security and/or compliance sake.

    Different types of tokens supported include, hardware token (Vasco, RSA, OATH), Mobile tokens (SMS, IOS, Android and Windows )

    With the integration, Gemalto is able to expand the support list of tokens for IBM TAM E-SSO, allowing the users much more flexibility when deploying E-SSO solutions with strong authentication. The same Ezio server can also be used in other situations where Two Factor Authentication is required in the environment.
