Context - Tivoli Knowledge Conversion and Data Analytics Version 1.4

Tab navigation

Context is a reporting and analytics engine that helps operators make better decisions. Unlike other packages, Context is unconventional by preparing reports in anticipation of user requests rather than on demand. This means the reports are instantaneous and designed specifically for optimising how networks are managed. Context was developed entirely by Eirteic Consulting, based on user feedback and our own extensive experience in Network operations management using IBM Tivoli® software. It was designed to address shortfalls in the currently available tool-set that does not provide users with the ability to easily achieve continuous improvement in network management processes. Many companies acquire and store huge amounts of information about their systems, but often this is held in formats that are of little use other than when exploring an incident occurrence via retrospective investigation (eg. as Root Cause Analysis). Context seeks to move from this traditional practice of post-mortem data reference by delivering the capability to predict patterns that can be used to troubleshoot and prevent problems before they occur. The core of the Context product is a framework for Event Knowledge Management. The framework expands user accessibility to a full system knowledge base. Context’s Event Analytics function can interpret trends in data which makes it the workroom of the data mining process.
