Infrared360™ for IBM MQ

Tab navigation

Infrared360™ is built on Service Oriented Architecture using state of the art Open Standards design. Installation of Infrared360™ requires just a simple .war file deployment.

Infrared360™ allows administrators to monitor and manage target IBM MQ servers using agentless technology. There is NO deployment of software to any IBM MQ or IIB server environments.

The Infrared360™ monitor, used with the SOA services, provides self healing by leveraging external (or internal) services, which can be invoked via a scheduled event or alert event.

Infrared360™ runs on any platform that supports J2EE compliant application servers such as IBM Websphere®, JBoss, and Tomcat.

The Infrared360™ portal allows for easy access to managed servers from any browser. Users inherit visibility and functionality according to the group(s)they belong to & the role(s) they play within the group(s). Infrared360 has a very intuitive User Interface, which leverages the 'bookmark' model for user personalization. The user enjoys one look & feel for all platforms (Windows™, Unix®, IBM zOS®, HP-NSK, etc.). A built-in message testing facility (MQI or JMS) allows rapid generation of messages or can leverage associated data resources, all without need for programming. Test cases then become reusable assets for your organization & can be used for application, unit, verification & capacity testing to any target server.

  • + Functional details

Automate administration, monitor, alert and notify, trigger self healing MQ or SOA services. Generate messages for testing endpoints, triggers, queue definitions, volume, performance.

Reports generated in HTML, PDF, XLS, CSV, XML formats. Audit user activity within WMQ environment.

Infrared360™ is very fully featured. Please contact us for a demonstration at

  • + Business problem

Infrared360™ completely removes the cost of deploying agents in an enterprise WMQ environment while providing more features and functions and a more intuitive user interface than solutions that require agents.

Leverage internal assets by allowing collaboration with business unit users with NO risk of those users taking incorrect actions.

Meet compliance rules by provides secure, delegated access to WMQ objects.

  • + Business opportunity

Leverage business units (QA, Dev, Test) by providing delegated authority to Websphere® MQ components. Allow collaboration using roles which allow only visibility to business users, but administration actions by technical users.

Increase productivity: search for missing messages, schedule automated administration tasks, alert on events, stale messages, queue depth, channel status, and file system objects.

Use the Infrared360™ rules engine to create more complex logic for trapping problem events and scenarios. Create a self healing environment by combining the Infrared360™ monitor, alert notification, and SOA services by leveraging scripts, programs, and services.

Generate messages using any content type (database, file, programs, ad hoc, from Q, etc.), combine with any msg header type (MQMD, RFH1, RFH2, MQMDE, SAP, JMS) in order to test message formats, trigger queues, trigger channles, verify endpoint applications, verify formats, verify WMBI or Broker nodes, etc. Then keep these test cases as corporate "assets" to be used again and again without programming.

Meet compliance requirement via the Infrared360™ audit records which contain information and detail on user activity to all WMQ target servers.

  • + Return on investment

Save on time/staff with agentless technology - no software deployment to managed servers. Save on time/staff with easy, productive, intuitive user interface (UI). Save on time/staff with secure collaboration to problem areas.

Save on time/staff with built-in automation and compound logic via the rules engine. Save on time/staff via built in message generation testing harness. Save on time/staff with self healing services in order to correct monitored events and problems.

Save on time/staff with ONE portal for visibility to MQ, JMS, WBI all versions all platforms.
