Using their mobile devices or store-based kiosks, WIC shoppers can verify the WIC eligibility of items and even verify whether the item is included in their benefits and if they can purchase the product with the benefits remaining on their prescription. Shoppers are presented with their current WIC prescription including an itemized list of remaining benefits broken down by category including quantities and sizes of all products available to them. With our WIC mobile application and kiosks, the participant knows precisely what benefits remain available to them and is far more likely to make purchasing decisions. If the retailer has an APL of the specific WIC eligible items carried in their store, these items will be displayed under each category as the customer is making their purchasing decisions. LEB items, or “Least Expensive Brand” items (typically store brands) will be prominently displayed.
