College can be affordable if you plan early and learn as much as you can. You can get a good start by checking these resources (some are in Spanish) and researching all the opportunities.

Get help with college expenses

While there are many scholarships available to all students based on their financial need and their personal achievements, there are also many scholarships that are available only to Hispanic students. Most colleges offer finanacial assistance. Low interest parent and student loans can help, too. Consider all the options.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF)
HSF provides financial support for Latinos going to college and educates their families about the wide range of resources available to fund college expenses. There is a special section just for parents with articles both in English and Spanish.

Destination University
Destination University is a 40 page, fully bilingual guide for applying to college, including financial aid, for students and their families.

Offers scholarships, internships and leadership training to inspire the best and brightest Latino students to graduate and lead their communities.

Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute
This institute offers scholarships, internships, and fellowships to Hispanic students who have demonstrated a commitment to performing public service-oriented activities in their communities.
