Budapest University of Technology and Economics success story

The Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BUTE) became one of the first universities to adopt the IBM Certified for e-business curriculum as it recognized the exploding market for ERP, CRM, and other network technologies would cause demand for students highly trained in e-business.

The IBM e-business Certification program at BUTE provides students with a sound base of knowledge in open standards-based e-business architectures--knowledge that IBM developed through thousands of e-business transformation engagements. All students involved in the program must pass an exam at the end of their coursework to receive certification.

BUTE is confident that its new e-business curriculum will give its students lucrative career opportunities while filling desperately needed positions in the technology industry. "We are delighted to partner with IBM and to introduce a new curriculum that combines broad academic approaches and the latest in IBM methodologies," says Professor Andras Pataricza, deputy director of education of the Center of Information Technology, BUTE.
