Hey high school students! Looking for a challenge?
Every year, hundreds of high school students just like you participate in programming contests hosted by high schools and post-secondary institutions. Not only do you get to exercise some of your brain cells in a competition, but winning looks great on a college or university application. Who knows, it could just be the edge you need to get into the school of your choice, get you started on your own website or inspire you to explore an exciting new career path!
The goal of IBM Programming Contest Central is to promote computer science and information technology opportunities to high school students. We encourage high school students, high schools and post-secondary institutions to use the resources provided in order to host their own programming contests.
So take a few minutes to explore Programming Contest Central. Sign up for the forum, check out the tutorials, and take a stab at the problem of the month. This entire resource centre is for you!
We have a separate area with resources for teachers, where they can learn about running a programming contest, and connecting with competitions at schools near you. Teachers can access the teacher's forum along with additional resources by joining the IBM Academic Initiative. There is no-charge to join and membership also entitles teachers access to software, courseware, training and more. Join now!
Besides contests, the IBM Student Portal has a wealth of useful things for you, such as tutorials, software downloads, newsgroups and more! Make our expertise, your expertise.
