Teach: Build your own courses

WebSphere sample programming code has already been developed and tested. Feel free to borrow WebSphere code. We've gathered some of the best samples from IBM to help you get started with developing your own labs. Keep visiting this page. As we continue to gather more code, further postings will be made.

Here are the top sample code downloads by our members:

  1. Creating a database application using WebSphere Studio
Author Nathan Kirkham shows you how to generate Web pages that access and display data stored in a database.
  2. Developing and Testing a Complete "Hello World" J2EE Application with WebSphere Studio Application Developer Version 5.0
In this tutorial, we will be using WebSphere® Studio Application Developer Version 5.0 to develop, test, run and debug a complete J2EE application, consisting of entity and session EJBs, a servlet, a JSP™ page and an HTML home page. We will be focusing extensively on EJB development.

Members are permitted to use these sample code as teaching tools or as resources to develop custom courses. The software needed to teach the courses and accomplish the lab exercises can be downloaded from the Download section of the Getting Started. All resources needed to learn the material are provided from this site.

Members also have access to sixteen WebSphere courses through the Academic Initiative Courseware Repository.
