Worldwide: Finals of ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest in Tokyo, Japan
The most talented students of computing, from all corners of the world, will be competing in Tokyo, Japan, for the 31st annual World Finals of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) International Collegiate Programming Contest, March 12-16, 2007. The event will be co-hosted by ACM Japan and the IBM Tokyo Research Lab, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.

France: Server, storage, and software infrastructure courses launched at leading engineering schools
IBM is launching server, storage, and software infrastructure training at ESIEE near Paris and ENSEEIHT in Toulouse with plans to expand to five additional schools. The courses will include training on SOA, ERP, virtualization, and other leading technologies.

Turkey: Yildiz Teknik University hosts IBM Software Series
Two IBM Software Technical Specialists discussed IBM general software strategy at the first of a series of weekly seminars at Yildiz Teknik University Computer Engineering Department. The second seminar was grid computing on February 20 and different IBM software topics will be presented to students in the coming weeks.

Turkey: IBM Turkey and Near East University, North Cyprus to establish Technology Center
Near East University, North Cyprus (Yakin Dogu University) has chosen IBM as its strategic partner to establish a Technology Center on campus and promote innovation among students. Eray Yuksek, IBM Turkey General Manager, met with the university Rector and professors and a visit to IBM Supercomputing Center in Barcelona is planned to view Mare Nostrum, the most powerful computer in Europe.

Student contest: Academic Initiative India launches Tivoli Quiz Contest
Following The Great Mind Challenge and Project INVITE, Academic Initiative India launched the Tivoli Quiz Contest, which introduces students to the use of Tivoli storage and security management software. Over 500 students have already participated and the top ten scorers will win MP-3 Digital Players.
