IBM Academic Initiative members may get full versions of a large selection of IBM software, at no charge. Most of the software can be downloaded from the Software Catalog; only a few products are available on CD by request.

All software downloads are available at no charge. The easiest way to search for software is by text, but you can also search by category or part number. The catalog includes DB2, Lotus, Rational, Tivoli, WebSphere, Application development software and many other IBM products, with new offerings added frequently.

Only the products listed below are available on CD. Please note that each Academic Initiative member may request a maximum of one CD per product. We do not offer a CD that contains all of our products; you must request each product CD individually.

If you are an Academic Initiative member, you can give your students access to IBM software through the Student Software Catalog. Just follow the link below and enter the email addresses of your students. They will receive an email with instructions on how to access the catalog.
