Virtual Loaner Program overview

The Virtual Loaner Program (VLP) gives Business Partners around the globe access to IBM systems, operating systems and software with the same benefits as a loaner machine at their site, but with the added bonus of IBM managing and hosting the hardware.

VLP is designed to be a self-service, remote offering for Business Partners who need only minimal assistance and support. VLP offers e-mail assistance and support with one business day response. Depending upon availability, your reservation can be automatically provisioned for you in a few hours. You can save multiple versions of operating system images for later restoration to new VLP reservations.

All IBM asks in exchange for this valuable resource is that you register your application in the Global Solutions Directory and provide feedback about your VLP experience by filling out a brief post-reservation questionnaire.

To begin using the Virtual Loaner Program, click Reservation management and type in your IBM ID and password (PartnerWorld membership). To learn how to make a VLP reservation, you can take an interactive tutorial.

If you do not have an IBM ID (PartnerWorld membership) you can go to the PartnerWorld registration.

Make sure that your application that runs on IBM Systems platforms gets proper visibility in the Global Solutions Directory IBM's repository of Business Partner offering information
