StorWiz has developed propriety technology that provides the infrastructure to overcome the ever-increasing burden of storage maintenance. StorWiz product meets the above need by compressing all the data in the organizations in a way it is transparent for the users. In addition, there is an option to encrypt all the files in the storage.
StorWiz product currently addresses the NAS segment of the storage industry. The technology is based on sophisticated algorithms that enable the compression of data in “real time”. Special algorithms are used to enable both sequential access and random access to the compressed and encrypted file while standard compression methods allow only sequential access.
The product is a high performance storage appliance that connects seamlessly to any NAS network and immediately delivers effective volume increase and data security (optional). It allows for multiplication of the volume of existing and new NAS storage by 3 times on average. Depending on the file type, compression can be multiplied by up to 6 times.
