Today, the IBM X-Force team released the results of the 2012 Mid-Year Trend and Risk Report. Since the 2011 year-end report was issued, IBM’s threat analysts have observed trends on mobile devices, weaknesses around social networking Website passwords and an overall increase in malware attacks. The continued growth of both persistent and emerging attacks makes it all the more critical for businesses across all industries to bolster their security efforts. As part of ongoing efforts to assist global clients and invest in growth markets, IBM Security has launched a new Security Operations Center (SOC) in Wroclaw, Poland. The new facility joins nine other centers worldwide, further extending IBM’s ability to provide real-time analysis and notifications that help keep businesses ahead of the most pressing and progressively complex security threats. These capabilities are increasingly in demand in light of today’s critical IT security skills shortage, as well as limited enterprise security budgets.
