Audience
This is an intermediate course for IBM i performance analysts, system administrators, consultants, application developers and IT architects. It is also appropriate for WebSphere Application Server performance analysts from other platforms that are unfamiliar with the IBM i implementation.
Prerequisites
You should have:
- a good understanding of WebSphere Application Server V6 architecture and administration concepts on IBM i servers (as provided by course - IBM WebSphere Application Server V6.1 Administration on System i (AS94))
- familiarity with Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE) application technologies (Servlets, JavaServer Pages, Enterprise JavaBeans, JDBC, Java Message Service, etc.).
You are also required to review the modules found in the Performance section of the IBM Application Server V6 and V6.0.1 Education Assistant Web site (http://www-306.ibm.com/software/info/education/assistant/WASv6_Task.shtml) in order to gain a basic understanding of the performance features found in WebSphere Application Server.
