Audience
This is an intermediate course delivered over the Internet for IBM i professionals that perform analysis and tuning for IBM WebSphere Application Server and iSeries based solutions. This includes system administrators, consultants, application developers, and Information Technology (IT) architects. It is also appropriate for WebSphere Application Server performance analysts from other platforms that are unfamiliar with the iSeries implementation.
Prerequisites
You should complete:
- IBM WebSphere Application Server V6.0 Administration on System i (AS900)
You should have:
- General understanding of WebSphere Application Server V6 architecture and administration concepts on iSeries servers and
- Familiarity with Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE) application technologies: Servlets, JavaServer Pages (JSPs), Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB), JDBC, and Java Message Service (JMS)
You are also required to review the modules found in the Performance section of the IBM Application Server V6 and V6.0.1 Education Assistant Web site:
http://www.ibm.com/software/info/education/assistant in order to gain basic understanding of the performance features found in WebSphere Application Server.
