Sunday, 19 October & Monday, 20 October - Buses will be available to take conference participants from Zaventem Airport, Brussels to the Congress Centre Oud Sint Jan and the IBM Hotels listed below:

On arrival at Zaventem Airport, after baggage claim/customs, hostesses will direct you to the buses. The hostesses will be easily identified by their signs.

If arriving at Zaventem Airport on any day other than Sunday, 19 October or Monday, 20 October, it will be necessary to take public transport or a taxi to Bruges. Private transfers are also available and can be booked via Hansa Incoming travel agency.

Bruges is very easy to reach via several highways :
 

• via highway E40: Calais - Oostende - Brugge (exit  nr. 8) - Gent - Brussel - Köln - ...
• near highway E17 : Antwerpen - Gent - Cambrai - Reims - Beaune...
• near highway E19: Amsterdam - Den Haag - Rotterdam - Breda - Antwerpen - Brussel-Mons - Valenciennes – Paris

There is a secured parking with 58 spaces available at no charge next to the congress centre for those participants that arrive by car.

Take the train directly from Zaventem Airportto the Brussels Noord train station at the hour +04 min and +33 min. There are direct trains to Bruges from Brussels Noord.

The taxi fare from Zaventem Airport to Bruges costs approximately €150.

Thursday, 23 October - Buses will be available to take conference participants from the Congress Centre Oud Sint-Jan to Zaventem Airport, Brussels.

Anyone planning to use the airport departure transfer service will need to bring their luggage to the congress centre for the start of Thursday’s sessions. All luggages should be stored in the luggage area on level 0. Please allow additional time before sessions for luggage to be stored.

Anyone wanting to return to the airport on any other day will need to use public transport or travel by taxi. For further information, ask at the Conference Welcome Desk.

It is possible to hail a taxi in the street but you will also find special taxi ranks at the train station and throughout the city. Alternatively, order a taxi by telephone. Fares are calculated on a basic rate plus a fixed rate for each kilometer traveled. Taxi fare from the train station to the historic centre will be approx. 7 – 10 €.
