IBM Professional Certification
Certification test fees
Certification exams will be offered at the special event rate of $100 USD per exam, up to a 50% discount over the external testing center price. Tests are payable through the online test tool with Visa, MasterCard or American Express. Some vouchers are accepted as payment for exams (for example, PartnerRewards testing vouchers and IBM employee vouchers). However, it is impossible to guarantee that a voucher will be valid because it may already have been redeemed or may have conditions which limit its use in some other way.
Preparing for a test
Potential test takers can prepare for their tests prior to the event. To prepare, refer to the Professional Certification Program from IBM website at http://www.ibm.com/certify. There you will find test descriptions, including:
- Certification job role names and descriptions to which the tests apply.
- Test objectives that are measured on the tests.
- Recommended educational resources.
- Assessment and sample tests to help gauge your readiness for the actual exam.
Registering for a test
Exams will be provided on an availability basis during the conference testing hours. No pre-registration is necessary. If you have taken IBM Certification tests in the past, please remember to bring your Prometric userid with you. If you’ve tested at an IBM event, you should have a PRIME username and password which you will need to bring with you as well. If you were provided with a certification quick-reference card at a previous conference, bring it with you to fast-track into the certification testing lab.
