    New programs in 2008 to be offered again at this year's event include:

    • Business Development (Sunday, 25 Oct 2009): Exclusively for IBM Business Partners This track will focus on providing the business skills needed to identify new revenue opportunities for product sales and services, best practices to maximize marketing efforts, product plans, competitive landscape, strategies for selling into industry specific market sectors, and ways to expand your business offerings to emerging markets. Pre-registration is required. No additional fee.

    • Business Impact: In addition to the great technical sessions of the conference, we'll have an expanded non-technical "Business Impact" Track. In the opening session and the dedicated business impact track, you'll learn how to make your portal a better business success. This track is for the non-technical portal audience whose job is to maximize the business value of their portal implementation. Sessions include SOA, Web 2.0, Portal and People Interaction: End-user Interaction with SOA, Driving Toward Better Decision Making: How IBM Improves Communication and Value Using Lotus ActiveInsight for Dashboard Development, Portal based Vision-In Approach to SOA, The WebSphere Portal Advantage in a Competitive Landscape, Web 2.0 and the Enterprise: How do all the pieces fit together? Why Mashups Matter

    • Technical Roundtable discussion sessions: For many attendees, one of the conference highlights is the opportunity to participate in topic-based discussions with fellow attendees and customers, IBM Business partners and product team experts. To facilitate this, the conference is again organizing a set of Technical Roundtable discussion sessions to be held throughout the week.

    • Portal Technical Zone: Held each afternoon, this provides an open forum setting to discuss technical strategy questions with IBM Portal Product and Services Architects.
