IBM Professional Certification
Demonstrate your sales and technical expertise by certifying your skills at the 2008 IBM Power Systems Technical University featuring AIX and Linux. On a first-come first-serve basis, you can take one or more certification tests listed on the Professional Certification Program from IBM Web site.
The certification lab will be conveniently open during the conference. No pre-registration is required. The full suite of hardware tests and most software tests will be offered at the special event rate of $95 USD per exam. These exam prices offer attendees a 50% discount over the external testing center price. Tests are payable through the online test tool with most major credit cards. A complete listing of all IBM tests is available at the testing lab.

Preparing for an exam
Potential test takers should prepare for their test(s) prior to the conference. To prepare, refer to the Professional Certification Program from IBM web site . There you'll find test descriptions, including:
- Certification job role names and descriptions to which the tests apply.
- Test objectives measured on the tests.
- Recommended educational resources.
- Assessment and sample tests to help gauge your readiness for the actual exam.
- Estimated time required to take the test.
Registering for a test
No pre-registration is required. All testing is on a first-come, first-served basis and subject to seating availability.
If you have taken IBM Certification tests in the past, please remember to bring your Prometric account number with you.
If you've tested at an IBM event, you should have a PRIME username and password which you will need to bring with you as well.
Certification testing hours
The Certification Test Lab, located in the Astoria Room, will be conveniently open during the conference.

Please note
The same test may be taken only twice in a 30 day period by an individual. Both attempts may be taken at this event.
For each test, test takers are required to sign-in and present 2 forms of identification (one must have a photo: driver's license and credit card, IBM badge or valid passport). The conference badge is not acceptable.
All tests are closed-book, and most are computer-based (with the exception of the IMS Mastery tests), containing multiple-choice questions. They are delivered in a proctored environment via a web-based tool.
