Role
The developer is an individual who is expected to implement the business applications and services
(such as data components,information, and required development tools) according to the
architecture model.This includes definition of data transformation mapping, managing of WDI
objects and local configuration of an IBM WebSphere Data Interchange environment or the configuration of Data Interchange functions in IBM WebSphere Partner Gateway.
Assumptions
It is assumed that the individual following this roadmap has basic skills in the following areas:
- Working knowledge of underlying operating system platforms
- Understanding of basic Internet concepts
- General knowledge of IBM WebSphere MQ concepts
After completing this training, students should be able to:
- Describe the core product family and architecture
- Translate EDI, XML, and application data
- Establish the IBM WebSphere Data Interchange environment
- Effectively use the WDI client environment
- Define, convert, and validate application data
- Map EDI transactions using Send/Receive and data transformation mapping
- Manage WDI objects
- Describe installation and configuration of WebSphere Data Interchange
- Perform basic administration tasks
- Perform performance tuning and troubleshooting
