Role
The solution deployer is responsible for the installation and deployment of newly developed or modified business solutions into the organization's existing IT infrastructure.
Assumptions
It is assumed that the individual following this roadmap has basic skills in the following areas:
- Familiarity with the WebSphere Process Server programming model, including Web services technologies
- Ability to build and test releases and write deployment scripts
- Ability to determine compliance of a deployed solution
- Ability to troubleshoot deployment problems
Objectives
After completing this training, students should be able to:
- Deploy newly developed or modified business solutions into an organization's existing WebSphere Process Server infrastructure
- Check for and install prerequisite products and components
- Ensure that suitable environments exist within the designated locations, and that the IT solution components adhere to the agreed standards, during testing and deployment
- Manage deployment on a day-to-day basis
