    Gregg McKnight

    IBM Systems & Technology Group


    Gregg McKnight leads the Mechanical Design, Power and Thermal Engineering teams for all System x and BladeCenter products. In addition Gregg has leadership responsibility for the System x and BladeCenter Energy Efficiency initiative and Emerging Technologies for IBM’s multi-billion-dollar x86 business. This is the fastest growing server segment in the world.

    Having joined IBM in 1984, Gregg has 25 years of experience in x86 server development. His consistent and outstanding technical achievements over the years have earned Gregg the title of IBM Distinguished Engineer, one of the company’s top technical honors. Gregg provides leadership on everything from Blade and Rack server product development to customer solutions and he engages in daily work on applied technology. Prior to becoming Vice President of Mechnical, Power and Cooling Development, Gregg was Chief Technology Officer for the IBM System x group.

    Roland Hagan is currently Vice President, Business Line Executive, System x. Prior to that, he was Vice President, Strategy for STG. He also held several senior marketing positions in IBM’s storage business including Vice President of Marketing, Storage Systems Group, Vice President for the Mid-Market and Mid-Range business areas worldwide for Storage Products Division; and Vice President, Marketing for the Storage Networking Division. Earlier in his career, he held several senior marketing positions in IBM’s Personal Systems Unit including worldwide marketing executive for the NetVista desktop brand and Net Devices product lines, and Vice President, Worldwide Marketing and Strategy for the Personal Systems Group where his major responsibilities included advertising, market intelligence and marketing strategy. He also has held the Personal Systems Group geography marketing executive position in both the Americas and Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). He spent four years in Europe based in Paris and in the UK, the latter where he was the Director of Personal Computers, UK responsible for the personal computer business in the UK.
