This is the Instructor Led On-line (ILO) version of classroom course Administering IBM Lotus Quickr 8.1 Services for IBM WebSphere Portal (QR800)

IBM Lotus Quickr Services for IBM WebSphere Portal can be a powerful tool for your organization to enable connected teams to share a wide variety of content. If your organization is planning to deploy Lotus Quickr to create collaborative communication and content management solutions, it will be your responsibility as an administrator to help ensure that the Lotus Quickr environment is structured efficiently and is functioning properly. In order to accomplish those goals, you will need a clear understanding of Lotus Quickr's purpose and technical capabilities, as well as the logical and physical components of the Lotus Quickr environment and its architecture.

This course is designed to introduce new administrators to Lotus Quickr 8.1 and provide hands-on practice with managing places, layouts, documents, resources, policies, and place content.
Audience
This intermediate course is designed for new system administrators for Lotus Quickr services for WebSphere Portal who must acquire a foundational knowledge and working experience with the administration tools and tasks for Lotus Quickr.
Prerequisites
Students taking this course should have basic Windows skills, ability to use a Web browser, end-user skills with various types of Lotus Quickr applications, plus any type of network system administration experience. Previous WebSphere Portal system administration is not required but can be helpful. Basic ability to author in XML or HTML is helpful but not required.
